road trip season
So i drove to Minneapolis this weekend to visit an old friend, Alicia. I've known her since I was three. Old friends never get too old do they!? It was a grand time. I came to the realization that i really am an adult now. I don't always feel like it but i still am very much an adult. friends are getting married, buying houses, starting families, making real grown up decisions. Its great!
I went to some concerts while in the cities. One was a band that my friends are in which was incredible. Best show I've seen them do yet! Sunday night I went to see a band called LoveDrug. there were other bands there playing, nothing but loud crazy music and screaming vocals. lovedrug was amazing, they are a rock band but the the lead singer plays the piano, it was awesome. but as I watched these random bands playing and saw how they tried to express themselves I began to notice it in every person I looked at for the rest of that evening, as I was walking down the streets in the city. Everyone is trying to express themselves somehow. Some do it through screaming out their thoughts into a mike while pulling there hair and falling on the ground, other walk around half dressed on their way to a club, maybe because that's how they feel inside - halfdressed. Just watch people, we are all trying to express ourselves somehow. It made me wonder what I'm expressing?
Just a thought...
